SSDI Payments in August 2025: Full Schedule by Birthdate
August 2025 delivers payments on these set dates so mark your calendar, check your account, and if your SSDI payment doesn't arrive as scheduled, be sure to follow up promptly.

Monthly Dates Based on Your Birthday

Most SSDI recipients (those who started benefits after May 1997) receive payment on one of these:

  • Wednesday, August 13 – for birthdays on the 1st‑10th of any month

  • Wednesday, August 20 – for birthdays on the 11th‑20th

  • Wednesday, August 27 – for birthdays on the 21st‑31st

Special Case: Pre‑May 1997 Recipients or SSI Recipients

Those who began receiving SSDI before May 1997, or who receive SSI and SSDI together, continue to be paid on the 3rd of the month.

  • In August 2025, the 3rd falls on a Sunday, so those checks will advance to Friday, August 1

If you receive both SSDI and SSI:

  • Friday, August 1: SSI payment + SSDI (pre‑1997 recipients)

  • Wednesday, August 13/20/27: SSDI payment based on your birthdate

What to Do if Your SSDI Payment Doesn't Arrive

If it's been more than three business days after your scheduled deposit:

  1. First check your bank or Direct Express account—delays sometimes happen on the bank’s end.

  2. If no issues there, contact SSA at 1‑800‑772‑1213 or visit your local office.

If you receive paper checks, wait at least three extra days after the issue date before reaching out
